INVISIBLE INK
INVISIBLE INK is the science of shifting worlds in-camera, and a formless style of Augmented Photography & Art. Invisible Ink is part of my ongoing study on how the color of light affects the appearance of inks, paints, and dyes (in this case, with the ink in photographs).
Experimentation with color science and in-camera multiple exposures led to the construction of dynamic, multi-dimensional, shape-shifting photographs, by intentionally making ink disappear, while observing how intentional use of the color spectrum could affect the viewers’ perceptions and reactions to a photograph.
I’ve always been fascinated with physical art that moves and changes forms, creating a full-sensory experience, especially as the world becomes more digital. I’ve been developing a way to create the same feeling with photography, though by creating the effect entirely in-camera, without digital manipulation. This idea has evolved into its current form of Augmented Photography and Art that I call, ‘INVISIBLE INK’.
