Augmented Photographer & Experimental Light Artist

I’ve been experimenting with capturing motion in-camera since picking up cameras, searching for a unique way to use cameras from the very beginning. I started shooting multiple exposures 10 years ago, and have been elevating the technique to a new level in recent years. While merging abstract concepts with my ongoing study of color science, I began to observe how the intentional use of the color spectrum could affect the viewers’ perceptions and reactions to a photograph and moment.

INVISIBLE INK is my style of Augmented Photography & Art, defining a new era of photography, and expanding the possibilities of what can be created inside of a camera. I’ve always been fascinated with physical art that moves and changes forms, creating a full-sensory experience, especially as the world becomes more digital. I wanted to develop a way to create the same concept and feeling with photography, though by creating the effect entirely in-camera, without digital manipulation. This idea has evolved into its current form of Augmented Photography and Art that I call, “Invisible Ink”.

My inspirations are intensely driven by forcing myself out of my comfort zone. Growing up, my experiences have spanned creative and technical mindsets in photography, architecture, as an engineer during university, and while working with a range of other art mediums.. with each component contributing uniquely to expanding my vision of what I could create in the realm of photography.

My current project and focus is RED TIDE - Bioluminescent Bloom. RED TIDE is a digital video series that captures the beauty of our bioluminescent oceans while bringing attention to the rise in Harmful Algal Blooms (known as "Red Tides") across the globe, and the danger they present to the stability of our ecosystems. This project was created to support the global ocean conservation and regeneration initiatives.
